Backflow is when water flows in the opposite direction it should through your pipes. This public health issue can introduce fertilizers, pesticides, already-used water, and other contaminants into the plumbing of your building. There are a number of ways to end backflow — a mechanical backflow preventer, for example, can eliminate the formation of cross connections between pipes and the subsequent contamination of your system. Backflow preventers are valuable components to have in your water system. However, as these devices wear out and can fail over time, it is important to get regular testing (and, when necessary, repairs) to ensure your water doesn’t become contaminated. That’s where we come in.
